Cusco Inca Trail Lake Titicaca 10D/9N Package

The first day you will be greeted at Cusco International Airport or at the Terminal station bus and driven in private transport to your hotel. After arrival at your hotel you will receive an introduction covering, your itinerary, the City tour start by the afternoon where you will visit the Temple of Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, quenqo and Pucapucara. After this city tour you will return to your hotel. (Overnight in Cusco).

This day we will pick you up from your hotel at Cusco in order to do the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where your are going to visit, the ruins of Pisac, the Pisac handycrafts market and the ruins of Ollantaytambo, we will do a stop in Urubamba to have Lunch in the Inka House Restaurant one of the Best Restaurant in Urubamba, buffet food is served in this restaurant, after lunch we continue to Ollantaytambo where we will visit the ruins of this small village, then we continue in our transport until to reach Chinchero which is the last ruins we will vivist, in Chinchero there are Colonial Churches built on inca stones, also here we can explore the local market of Chinchero. After this we will return to Cusco. (Overnight in Cusco).

We will pick you up from your accommodation, the Pick up will be in between 4:30 am. To 5:00 am, then we travel in a private transport for around 1h40 minuts until to get to Ollantaytambo where you are going to take breakfast, in a Local restaurant, you can order your breakfast which cost 10 or 20 soles as máximum depending What you want to eat. Then we continue to the Km. 82 arriving around 8:00 am, from here we go to the first Inca Trail control point where you are going to start the trek, also where you need to show your original Passport to be able to enter to the Inca Trail. This day you will walk for about 6 to 7 hours, the 2 first hours we walk until Patallacta which is an amazing Inca ruins where your guide will explain you about this ancient ruins, from here we continue for another 2 more hours walk to our lunch place. After lunch we will walk for another 2h30 min. or 3 hours until to get to the first campsite, Huayllabamba (3000 masl) or Ayapata (3300 masl) (campsites are designated for the Ministry of Culture according to availability at the time of booking your Inca Trail) before to arrive our first campsite we will pass through 2 small village where you can buy somethings like: water, energy drinks, chocolate, biscuits etc. Also here you can buy camera or flashlight baterries. Remember that buying in these small village you support local economy. We will arrive to our campsite around 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Where we will install our tents and mattress and we will wait for our delicious dinner with hot drinks and suculent dishes. After de dinner your tent and mattress will be waiting for you to have a sweet dream.

This day we will wake up very early in the morning, your cookman will wake you up with a coca tea to help you to the hike because this day is considered by many Trekkers as the longest and hardest day due we will walk for about 7 to 8 hours and we will pass through 2 high passes the highest one is the Warmiwañusca or dead Woman Pass which takes 4 hours to reach the highest point, (4200 masl or 13779 ft) once we get to the pass, we are going to take a stop to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful views and landscapes. After this w ego down until to get to the Pacaymayu Valley, which takes 1h30 min. is in this place where we are going to take our delicious lunch. After lunch we need to continue to the second pass it’s 1h30 min. to reach the pass. Along the way we stop in a small Inca ruins called Runcu Raccay after this we continue for another 1 hour going down until to get to the Amazing ruins of Sayacmarca where your experienced guide will explain you about this site. After this visit we will continue walkign for another 30 minuts to our next campsite Chakiqocha (3600 masl or 102), where we wait for the dinner and after dinner we can relax observing the starry sky where our ancestors the Incas were guided for these stars.

After our delicious and nutritive breakfast, this day we will hike for about 5 to 6 hours, for many Trekkers this day is considered as the most beautiful day along the Inca Trail. We walk for around 2 hours along What we call “Inca Flat” after this part we ge tinto the cloud forest, along the way we can see the Amazing Salkantay snow capped mountain and the beautiful aneand mountain (Vilcabamba mountain range) after ending the Inca Flat we get until to the last highest point which is Phuyupatamarca (3600 masl.) from where we can have the first view of Machupicchu if the weather is clear. During this day exactly during the descent we will visit 2 Incas archaeological sites, Phuyupatamarca ruins and Intipata. Where you guide will explain you about this 2 ruins. After lunch we continue until to reach our las campsite Wiñaywayna, in here you will have a learning about this Inca site where the guie will explain and asnwer all your questions about this Inca ruins. Also in this hours your guide and you will share all the knowledge learned along the trek so you can be ready to visit Machu Picchu the next day. It’s in this campsite where the grat job of our porters and chefs ends. Usually we do a ceremony of intruduccion of our porters and cooks where you can say thanks to them for their great job also in here you can say good bye to them and if you wish to give some tips for them you can do it at this moment.

This day is the most important day because we are going to visit the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, we need to wake up very early around 3:30 am. To take breakfast at 4: am, and after the breakfast we say goodbye to our porters and chefs. After this we continue walking for about 1h30 min. to get the Sun Gate, from where you can see the Amazing sunrise from the mountains surrounding Machu Picchu, closer we get to machu picchu the view is simply spectacular. Once we enter to Machu Picchu you will have a guided tour for 2 hours, your guide will explain you the main places and ruins in Machu Picchu, after this 2 hours is the end of your guide’s job, it’s at this momento where the guide say goodbye everybody. After this you can explore Machu Picchu by your own, and if you have the excursión to the Huaynapicchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain you have to do it, but depends What time is your starting hour of your excursión to these Mountains. (Huyanapicchu Mountain and Machu Picchu Mountain is optional you need to le tus know in advance if you wish to climb up one of these mountains). You need to go out from Machu Picchu at 12:00 pm. and go to Aguas Calientes where you can take Lunch in a Local Restaurant (optional not included). After this you can explore Aguas Calientes and wait for your train to Ollantaytambo, it takes 2 hours by train to Ollantaytambo where our transport will be waiting for you to take you back to Cusco. we leave you in your hotel or near to this. About the tarin we will provide you the turistic class train, the train departure times can be in between 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm. it depends of the availability of the sapces.

This day you can enjoy the Historical Center of the Cusco city, you can visit the main catedral, the local markets, the 12 angle Stone, etc, by the evening our transport will pick you up to go the Terminal station bus, to Puno who leaves at 10:00 pm, it takes around 8 hours to get Puno, so you will arrive around 6:00 am. Our transfer will be waiting for you at the stations bus at Puno.

We will pick you up from your accommodation, the airport or from the bus station at Puno, then w ego to the Port of the lake Titicaca to board our motor boat, we will travel to one of the UROS islands where you can observe the lives of the people who live on floating reed islands some only 20 meters in length. After a beautiful 3 hours boat ride we reach Amantani Island where we will break into smaller groups to stay with the local families. Here we will have the opportunity to walk up to the top of the mountain (4150 m.a.s.l) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people. We will spend the night in one of this families where the food and authentic music will be prepared and performed by your designated family.  The Accommodation is rustic but confortable at the same time. (Overnight in Amantani island)

After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, here we are going to take lunch in a Local restaurant anf after lunch we will return to Puno. Arriving at the Port of Puno by the afternoon where our transfer will be waiting for us to take us back to your hotel. (Overnight in Puno).

After breakfast, we are ready to transfer you from your hotel to the airport or to the terminal bus satation. This is the end of our service.
